Recipient did not receive a reminder

 Problem

I recently set a reminder for one of my colleagues. However, it seems that they did not receive any notification regarding it.

 Solution

Several factors can cause this. We recommend that you check the following steps:

  1. Please verify that the outgoing email functionality is enabled on your instance. Navigate to your_instance/secure/admin/OutgoingMailServers.jspa.

  2. Verify whether the recipient has access to the Jira instance, as users without access will not receive reminders.

  3. Ensure the recipient has access to the project before setting a reminder.

  4. Please ensure that the recipient is added to the appropriate security level for the issue.
